Monitoring

The Compute service is designed to report event and logs from both the portal and the XES profiles to the Monitoring service. The integration with the Monitoring service provides the following benefits:

  • Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks to optimize resource usage and enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Fault Detection: Quickly detect and respond to errors or anomalies, minimizing downtime and improving reliability.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze usage patterns to anticipate resource needs, allowing for proactive scaling and efficient resource allocation.
  • Security: Monitor for unauthorized access attempts to deployed profiles.
  • Troubleshooting: Facilitate rapid issue resolution by providing detailed insights into system behavior and performance metrics.

To access logs from the Compute service:

  1. In Compute service, go to the Deployments page.
  2. Select required environment and build.
  3. Click View Logs to get redirected to the Monitoring service.

    Click the menu icon of a specific profile and click View logs to access details related to this specific profile.

To access all logs and events from the Monitoring service:

  1. Go to https://monitoring.stage.kollab.link and log in with your Smart Trading account credentials.
  2. On the right side of the page, in Source, select one of the following:
    • compute-ui for portal-related events and logs
    • compute-xes for XEServer profiles processing related events and logs.
  3. Explore Logs and Events pages and use filters to refine your search.

You can also create dashboards to get a visual representation of environments' and profiles' statistics and set up alerts and notifications for various events.
