Control Login Option for Administrators

When SAML or OIDC authentication is configured for your organization, administrator users can log in using either the configured Identity Provider (IdP) or Smart Trading Account Service. As an administrator, you can control this behavior for administrator users by choosing whether to allow login through Account Service or restrict access to just IdP login.

To set the login option:

  1. On the User Management page ( on the left navigation bar), go to the Administrators group.
  2. In the right pane under the Users section, select the check box next to the user account for which you want to set the login option.
  3. Click the ellipsis icon from the menu bar and select the check box, as required.

    1. Restrict Account Service Login – Require Administrator users to log in via IdP only.

    2. Allow Account Service Login – Enable log in via both IdP and Account Service.

Or, click the More Actions () icon displayed in the user details section, and select the required option.

Note: You can set the login option only if user federation is enabled. Furthermore, you cannot update your own login option while you are signed in. To make changes, log in using a different administrator account.
